So, I think I fell in love guys. It happened late night on a Saturday or two. The music was bumpin and the heels–sky high. It was instant, it was fate–it was mauve. YES ladies, I’ve found my latest lip fascination and it is ev.ry.thing.
So let me dish. I’m often a fan of the lip-pencil for color, because it offers that same pigmented pop but delivers both precision and control (–which is great for annoying-perfectionists like myself). So when I met this number from Tarte, I was instantly piqued, and couldn’t keep my grubby digits away from testing the palette.
Tarte’s LipSurgence is a natural matte lip stain that offers a range of hues, all of which are adaptable, while still being a bit punchy and fun. While the finish is matte, it’s extremely moisturizing, as it contains both jojoba and peppermint oils, along with Vitamin C and E (which is uber-hydrating). The texture is smooth and creamy, but isn’t overly glossy or tacky giving it prime staying power–which is a MUST for me when choosing a lip color. The color I have my eye on–Envy, go figure!
